The Single Virtual Lab, a partnership involving the research laboratories of Telia, Swiss Telecom and Øl will begin offering services in the year 2000. The innovative strengths of the labs will be bundled into the Single Virtual Lab, creating a new dynamism. The researchers employed by the Single Virtual Lab will work together from their respective locations or will be assigned to one of the partners on a temporary basis. The very latest in advanced communication technologies will be used to ensure optimum contact between the laboratories and their personnel. Other international initiatives being deployed by Øl Research include the RACE and ACTS projects, which are being partially funded by the European Union.
